Introduction to the Gong
If you are serious about what you do as a sound worker, it is more than just picking up a mallet and striking a gong or bowl, making what famed composer, Sofia Gubaidulina, called, “A glorious noise.”
Michael draws on his years of experience exploring sounds, to teach about and demonstrate not just technique, but finding the deeper aspects of sound and your own personal experience with it, about how sound connects to everything, about the silence between the sounds, and about learning how to be present with the sound in each moment.

Se leva a sério o que faz como profissional de som, isso é mais do que simplesmente pegar num batente e bater num gongo ou numa taça, produzindo aquilo a que a famosa compositora Sofia Gubaidulina chamou "um ruído glorioso".
Michael baseia-se nos seus anos de experiência a explorar o som para ensinar e demonstrar não só a técnica, mas também o encontro com os aspetos mais profundos do som e a sua própria experiência pessoal com o mesmo, sobre como o som se liga a tudo, sobre o silêncio entre os sons e sobre aprender a estar presente com o som em cada momento.
