In a 400 m² warehouse nestled among trees, in a peaceful village of just 700 inhabitants and immersed in the sounds of birds and the Caima river, we craft our gongs in true harmony with nature and the spirit that inspires them. Located in Telhadela, only 45 minutes from Porto and 2.5 hours from Lisbon. A showroom is available for visitors.

Although we refer to our workspace as a “Factory,” all our gongs are handcrafted, using a minimal amount of machinery in the production process. The project began in 2019 in a space of about 50 m², with only one person — Miguel Lourenço.

Today, Universe Gong operates in a 400 m² facility with a dedicated team of five: Miguel Lourenço and 2 assistants in production, one person handling logistics, and another responsible for photographing and filming the gongs.

Visits are welcome by prior appointment, outside working hours, and with production completely paused.
